Come down and enjoy the scenery, or engage in many of the activities that Camp Denison Conservation Area offers. Though entrance to the grounds are free, permits are required for some features.

  • The Great Lodge:

    • Rental of the entire Great Lodge includes two (2) floors , (Smokey’s Den) and (The Great Hall/Mess Hall) and access to all of the necessities needed to host an event. An ideal place for children’s parties; families for a “get to gather”; meetings; organizations, or groups wishing to enjoy the relaxed atmosphere in truly rustic surroundings
    • Smokey’s Den – 1st floor: A heated room with cold/hot water sink/cabinets; a large fireplace with a refrigerator and bathroom adjacent. Smokey’s Den sits forty-six (46). And is wheelchair accessible.
    • Great Hall – 2nd floor: This room is also at ground level. The room is unheated; adjacent to a fully equipped kitchen with refrigeration, freezer, two (2) hot/cold water sinks; cabinets; and a vintage Vulcan gas stove with ten (10) burners and two (2) large ovens. A pantry is adjacent, as is a former camp Mess Hall. The Great Hall will seat up to one hundred ten (110) people and is wheelchair accessible.
      The adjacent Mess Hall holds an addional forty (40) people

      • Smoky's Den $100.00/Day
      • The Great Hall $200.00/Day
      • The Entire Lodge $275.00/Day
      • Full Kitchen Use each day add $25.00

    Nature Center:

    • A single story three room building located on a knoll overlooking beautiful Baldpate Pond. The entire interior has been refurbished with 4 ft. wainscot walls hewn from felled Camp Denison trees.
    • The building is unheated, with a wood burning barracks stove available; a double sink with kitchen cabinets, and electric stove; and a large conference table.
    • The Nature Center will seat 15 – 20 people. The Nature Center is wheelchair accessible.
      Rental Rate:
      • $75.00/Day

    Cabins (4)

    • Located away from the main lodge in a wooded area, there are four (4) cabins with three double bunks sleeping six (6). There are two (2) water stations with a sink, and electric power is provided for each cabin. At this time, cabin usage is limited to adults until such time we have in place a facility to handle waste treatment.
    • His/Her bathroom facilities are a short walk.
      Rental Rates:
      • Each Cabin Per Night $40.00, 8 persons/cabin max
      • Girl Scout Cabin $75.00/Day


    • Overnight camping
      Rental Rates:
      • $20.00/Campsite for 4 people
      • $5.00 for each additional person

    Day Use of Camp Denison Grounds:

    Boat Tie-ups

    • Seniors $25 for the season
    • Other $30 for the season

    (What constitutes a half or full day, and all scheduling decisions, are at the discretion of the camp manager)

    (The Camp Denison Conservation Area Committee reserves its discretionary rights to modify or waive the above fees based upon individual circumstances if considered in the best interests of the Town.)

    Rules & Regulations of Camp Denison Conservation Area

    The Following are the rulesGeneral Rules and Regulations of Camp Denison Conservation Area:

    • Only Daylight Hours Unless Otherwise Permitted.
    • Large groups (Over 30 Persons) using only the outdoor facilities require notification to the Camp Manager. This facilitates scheduling and coordination of other events and opening of the rest rooms. Call 978-352-5744 for notification or contact us.
    • During some periods of the year, the entire campground is used for workshops and other events so it is best to check with the camp manager before scheduling outdoor events.
    • Trash - Bring Your Own Bags. Deposit All Trash Contained In Bags In Camp Dumpster. No Loose Waste Allowed.
    • Camp Denison Conservation Area Conservation Area Conservation Area is a Drug & Tobacco Free Facility
    • Fishing is permitted in Accordance with State Laws. A Massachusetts Fishing License is required.
